Wednesday Night F.E.A.S.T.

(Finding Encouragement And Supping Together) Wednesdays are wonderful at Lakewood! We have a family dinner at 5:15 p.m. - not just any dinner, but a smorgasbord of homemade delights that our Kitchen Klub has worked all day to prepare for us under the supervision of our Director of Food Ministries, Ron Soberay. Homemade desserts, breads, and salads are just a few of the treats that await us Wednesday nights, August through May. Bible studies and special programs follow at 6:15 p.m.

Kitchen Klub:

This group of men and women gather to prepare our Wednesday night meals and other special meals for the church family. Great fun and fellowship begin in Lakewood’s kitchen! Our Lunch Bites program provides meals for those in need each week.

Young at Hearts

is an active group of men and women who are over 50 who meet the third Sunday of each month after the 11:00 a.m. service for lunch and brief programs, some informative and some entertaining. We have lunch at different restaurants each month, attend Suns’ ballgames and travel to interesting exhibits, shows, and retreats. Our goal is to have fun, Christian fellowship, serve where needed and deepen our love for Christ. Come join us and see for yourself what fun we have!

Bible Studies:

A variety of Bible studies are offered on Wednesday evenings and other times during the week. Everyone welcome.

FEASTING IN THE WORD

This Bible study meets Wednesday afternoon from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the library (Room 102 Education Building) during the school year.
The class covers 2-3 chapters per week with questions for homework. This year the class is looking at Deuteronomy.
Carol Hudson serves as facilitator and all are welcome to attend.

Prayer Ministry:

Lakewood is a praying church. Our Prayer Room is staffed on almost an hourly basis with people praying for specific prayer requests from our church family and extended community. Prayer request cards are received in our worship services and prayed for as long as they are not marked confidential. All prayer request cards go to our Prayer Room. The cards are also prayed over by our staff. All non-confidential prayer request cards are published in our newsletter, Reflections.

Prayer requests may also be emailed to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). They are sent to Lakewood members who have covenanted to pray for requests that they receive.

Prayer Chain & Prayer Groups:

Our prayer chain is ongoing. Please call the church office if you would like to put in a prayer request on the prayer chain or place a card in the Prayer Room or send an email prayer chain at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
