Who is Lakewood United Methodist Church?
Lakewood is a church of Open Hearts, Open Minds and Open Doors for people looking for an experience of genuine Christian faith and a community of hope.
Since 1953, when the church was founded, many have become a part of our family of faith. If you were to ask them why they attend, they would likely tell you it was because they have found Lakewood to be a warm, loving body of believers. They might also tell you they come so their children can experience our dynamic children’s and youth ministries. Or still others might say that they come to experience God on Sunday morning in our joyful and uplifting worship services.
Lakewood United Methodist Church supports an assortment of small groups and Bible studies. These groups consist of many different age groups and meet constantly throughout the year. Topics range from studying the Word to discussions about learning how to live a Christian life in today’s world. Contact the church office to find out more information about our small group studies.
Lakewood United Methodist Church is located a few miles south of downtown Jacksonville on San Jose Blvd, just south of University Blvd. (directly behind the Winn Dixie Market in the Lakewood Shopping Center).
